Verifying a Purchaser is Added to a Case
Overview
Purchaser information can be added on the First Call screen. If a purchaser is not associated to the case, a message is displayed when you navigate to the New Contract or Contract Summary Screens, letting you know that Purchaser Information has not been defined yet.
First Call Screen
The Purchaser section on the First Call screen allows you to enter Purchaser information, such as, the relationship of the Purchaser to the Decedent, as well as, the Purchaser’s SSN, Birth Date, Phone and Address.
- The Purchaser field is not a mandatory field.
- If a Purchaser is entered, a Relationship is required.
- If the Purchaser role is removed on the Case Person screen (for contracts having unposted statuses only), the Purchaser information is cleared from the First Call screen.
- The Purchaser SSN, Birth Date, Address and Phone number fields are read only. These fields will display the details, which have been entered on the Name Maintenance screen for the Purchaser name selected.
New Contract and Contract Summary screens
When accessing the New Contract or Contract Summary screens, if Purchaser information is not entered for the selected case, the following warning message is displayed: “Contract Purchaser is Not Defined”. This message is an informational message only and you will be allowed to proceed without adding purchaser information.
